We had a fun weekend. On Friday, it was the warmest day we've had so far this year and our part of the planet actually got temps into the 70's. It was great! So we took advantage of the beautiful weather and my hubby being off work early that day and did some fun stuff outside. First, we took the kids to the zoo. This was Christian's first time there (out of the womb, anyway) and he was the perfect prince the whole time. He stared in fascination at everything until he got sleepy and just decided to take a nap in his stroller.

The girls had a ton of fun feeding and looking at animals and playing on the zoo playground. We bought a family membership last summer and so we get free admission and a free stroller rental until the membership expires on July 31. We've already gotten our money's worth from buying the membership awhile ago so it was definitely a good deal.

After our zoo trip, we came home for naps and then Sam's grandparents came over. They came for a weekend visit and stayed at my mother-in-law's who just lives a mile or two away from our house. We had a great weekend with them and enjoyed our time together.

Later that evening, we all went out and walked along the lake and got ice cream. It was refreshing to be outside after a long winter being cooped up.

Of course, by Sunday morning it was snowing. Yuck. But we had a good day anyway and did some more home improvement projects and stayed busy.
